The Massachusetts ACE Women’s Network holds events throughout the year that allow for the fostering of connections among women leaders in higher education throughout Massachusetts. The events are scheduled as virtual or in-person events at geographically diverse campus sites so that women from various corners of the state can attend. Scheduled events will be posted here.

Demystifying the Search Process: What Women Need to Know about Working with a Search Firm

Higher education leaders are currently challenged with attracting and retaining talent and overdue pressures to hire racially diverse candidates. If you are contemplating your next career move or leading a search, join us for conversation with experienced executive search and leadership consultants to learn what you need to know about the search process and working with search firms.

Dr. Cynthia Patterson is a Senior Consultant and Senior Executive Coach with Academic Search. She has more than thirty-give years experience in multiple leadership positions within education. She has served as a Vice President of Academic Affairs, Chief Student Affairs Officer, and Dean of Arts and Sciences.

Lucy Leske is a Senior Partner at WittKieffer. In her thirty years of executive search work and thought leadership, Lucy continues to make an indelible imprint upon the higher education landscape. She has supported the hiring of hundreds of administrators who are helping to shape and position their institutions for the future.

Dr. Jennifer Mezquita is the incoming Provost at North Shore Community College. She will share her positive experience working with a search firm during the hiring process. Dr. Mezquita has extensive experience in Student Affairs, Enrollment Management, and Alumni Affairs.

Chocolate and Networking

Join the Massachusetts ACE Women’s Network for Chocolate & Networking on Wednesday, February 16 from 12-1pm.  Experience a delightful guided chocolate meditation and facilitated small group networking. Bring a piece of your favorite chocolate to the Zoom room and you will be guided in an exercise that will quiet the mind and help you focus on the present. We will then join breakout groups for a series of career-focused networking conversations. This event will be facilitated by Massachusetts ACE Network board member Kim Burns.

The ACE Women’s Network Massachusetts warmly invites you to join us for a virtual gathering to consider, how we can support each other professionally and personally as higher education emerges from the pandemic to maintain laser focus on our commitment to equity, racial and social justice and access for all learners?



 Networking Reception Upon joining the event attendees will be randomly placed into 4/5 (depending on total numbers) breakout rooms- to meet and greet and share one concern or opportunity on their radar as their campus emerges from the pandemic. Attendees will be asked to put their comment in the chat which we will be able to save. Attendees will also be asked to bring their own snack and refreshment to the reception.
